Mary’s research interests include interprofessional education in health professional students, Mask-Ed™ (KRS Simulation), creative & experiential learning, mental health and wellness, and primary health and health promotion. Other areas of research are peer mentorship in nursing students, direction and delegation in undergraduate and graduate nursing, Communities of Practice, and “Students' experiences of decision-making” with University of Otago researchers. Mary has also worked on borderline personality disorder as part of her Master’s thesis, and has interests in bioethics, law, and information technology in nursing. Within the School of nursing, Mary supports the Peer Mentorship Programme, and is the Interprofessional Education Liaison for Clutha First/Balclutha IPE for SIT Nursing Students in conjunction with Otago University.
